My wife came back talking about a 36" Wolf for $11,500.

That's definitely high. Like the other poster said there's alot of high end ranges for half that which are good quality.

Thermador, blue star, aga, jen-air, fisher paykel...

They all have the look she wants for several thousand less.

Is it at least a dual fuel model or do you have to pay more to get an electric stove?

My wife said the Thermador was $11k. She said she really liked the Blue Star but they don't make a 36" induction.

From what I understand there aren't a whole lot of options at 36" and for some reason she's dead set on 36" even though it's just the two of us.

She said, "You already talked me out of lp gas, you're not talking me out of 36."

We got the aga Elise induction and it's a few k less. It also comes in several colors and has those cool cruciform knobs.

It's a 36.

My wife called a place up by OKC that I guess deals in Aga. They said a 4-6 week lead time on getting them in and they don't have any in stock for her to look at.

This has become way more complicated than I would have imagined.

Why is she going all over the place to find appliances? There has to be whatever you are capable of finding no more than 30 minutes from you.

i've ordered items here and there from AJ Madison before (and this time as well) and had good luck. They have a great extended warranty for cheap.

they have tons of high end appliances in stock including AGA.

this is the one we got (clarification: we did NOT get the AGA from AJ)

its sitting in the garage on its own little shrink-wrapped pallet while we're building a floor for our kitchen

I live in rural Oklahoma. There's an appliance store kind of close that sells appliances. The highest end induction they carry in 36" is Frigidaire.

I'm driving 1.5 hrs for anything else. Either towards OKC or DFW.

or DFW.

check in w/ high end appliance stores in DFW; guarantee they have a HUGE overstock area in the back where people change their mind on the appliances that are sitting unsold they're willing to make a deal on.

they'll try to talk you into the new stuff but there's an endless supply of brand new stuff that for whatever reason wasn't the correct order they are looking to get rid of.
