Just bought a new GE dishwasher and it doesn't dry dishes worth shite...doing some googling and it sounds like they aren't putting heating elements in the new ones to "save energy"...any of you have same experience? not seeing a rule solution

Did you buy one that has extra drying time. Just bought a GE that has this feature and it works well, takes about
1 1/2 hours longer but it does a good job on the plastic stuff too.

Usually when our Bosch isn’t drying the dishes well it’s time to add more rinse aid liquid to the internal compartment. Not sure why but it helps in addition to the extended drying time

Does it have the dry boost feature? Just bought a GE about two weeks ago and it doesn't dry worth a shite unless you turn dry boost on. Takes about an hour longer

Some dishwashers have the heater and others do not.
You may also try to bump up the water temperature at the heater, or running hot water from the faucet before running it.

Should’ve bought a Bosch.
Only dishwasher I’ve ever used that consistently dries well.

Welcome to the world of modern appliances! In their quest for “energy efficiency” they have made them ineffective at what they are supposed to do. My old school dishwasher in my mobile home duck camp is WAY better than the one at home. We hear this same thing from every new home customer abt their dishwasher.

The Bosch and Termador require rinse aid.

What’s your water temp set at? Crank up the temp Add drying aid.

GE dishwashers have a liquid sensor in the Drying Aid dispenser cup.
If empty or low on drying aid, it doesn’t apply drying heat at the end of the cycle.
I found that little tidbit buried deep in the owner manual about 5 years ago.

Sounds like it’s solved - keeping your jet-dry full is a must.
If that doesn’t work, try buying her flowers and chocolate.
