We are having our old asphalt driveway replaced with concrete. They poured one section Friday. Can any of you tell me why it would be discolored like this? Does it need to be redone??

might just be mildew and should come right off with pressure washing but thats on them and you need to be demanding answers from them, not here

if its not dirt or whatever on the surface and a discoloration in the concrete, then yes it needs to be redone

go hit it with the water hose and see if it washes off, then you will know if its an issues or just dirt

It looks that way because it is still curing. It will even out in a few days. It takes standard concrete 28 days to reach full strength. The first few days it will look funny while it is reacting and therefore curing.

Mallard Master beat me to it. It’s still curing. It’ll whiten out once it gets more sunlight. Not a thing wrong with that driveway. Finish actually looks pretty darn good from the two pictures.

This is in KC area. 2500 Sq ft. Approx 15k. To do overlay of asphalt would have cost 7k. So with our winters here we decided to bite bullet and do concrete. Being from Texas we aren't fond of asphalt anyway for driveway. They finished today. Looks much better.
