Will be taking on another doc at my office and need a few more parking spots for him and his staff.

Currently have nice cement parking lot which was built around a perimeter drainage plan that works well. I have an area, beyond the lot that could be used to park 3-4 more cars and solve my parking problem.

This area is sodded and irrigated and slopes a bit to allow for drainage. I though about just adding some crushed limestone but I don't particularly like the look. Is there a product out there, that I could lay over the existing grass that would prevent rutting, not affect my drainage that is existing and allow the grass to grow through so it looks decent?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Not going to work, there is nothing out there. Pave it now and write it off on taxes. You can start right away by calling 811 so they can mark anything that runs under ground.

And that cement parking lot hasn't blown away by now?

You can look at something like HEXpave or geo-grids.

Grass will die having people driving over it day in, day out.

True, but he still may need to use the plastic pavers with either limestone fill or he can try a grass or even AstroTurf.

To meet P&Z requirements in BR he may not be able to put down concrete, he might need a permeable solution.

There’s a true grid paver and an eco raster paver that are similar.

They have these setup at the new white star market in the parking lot. I think it’s pretty good.

Do you have any suggestions for contractors that could handle this. Thanks.

I recall seeing some parking lots in Biloxi area that have bricks spaced underneath the live oaks in parking lots.

They sell the ecoraster at industrial fabrics here in town, they might have a good person to recommend.

I had A-1 Construction out of Abita springs do a good job for me recently.

It would be a more honest post and would elicit more reasonable advice if you let everyone know you are a dentist, not a medical doctor.

Check out true grid or similar permeable parking lot products.

Thanks. Tons of similar products but I am having a difficult time finding someone to install. Do you have any recommendations for someone in the BR area that can install.

I asked a couple of the suppliers around town, but they don't seem to remember who did the installs.
