Talstar works for me, but I do spray brick, plants, eaves, entire yard, not just the 5 foot strip.

Sprayed my pool yard with a mixture of bifen I/t and exciter based on a suggestion from this board and it is the most effective deterrent I’ve ever used. It lasted 3 weeks as long as it didn’t rain.

For everyone spraying, are y’all using a conventional pump sprayer?

That’s what I used but am thinking of upgrading to a blower/atomizer or at least and electric fogger.

2nd for Bifen, but get the oil based version. Spray around outside areas and spots that hold water.

We held them back pretty well last year with that

Make your own fogger. Attach pump sprayer to blower using zip ties. Works perfectly.

Do you need to wear a respirator? What about a DuPont suit? Or do I just go out there with long pants & shirt and blow away.

I've used a combo of a professional fogger every 3 weeks and Spartan tubes for the past 3 years with great results.
