Mixture from Lowes to level backyard

What mixture available at Lowe’s would you use to level your backyard? I’ve gotten dirt from there before and it all has a bark/mulch component to it.
I am thinking about some combo of sand and dirt, but don’t know quality and what you guys would suggest.

Unless you’re removing it from the ground on their property, none. 1st it’s crap, 2nd it would cost a fortune

Lowe’s would not be my choice for buying bulk fill.

Find a topsoil/gravel/sand supplier in your area. They will likely have a leveling mixture of sand and compost used for this application.

Any ideas on a supplier in the BR area? I used D’s Nursery for topsoil one time and it was full of the mulch crap.

I’d suggest mason sand to fill and level, which is a good material for that purpose, but then I’m also paranoid about using river silt-sand (pump sand) and potentially introducing torpedograss into the yard. Also fewer weed seeds in mason sand. Grass will grow fine through sand provided you don’t apply more than 2 inches per application. Let the grass grow through, and wash and repeat, as needed.
Local retail garden centers like Clegg’s, Louisiana Nursery, etc. sell mason sand in bulk by the 1/3, 1/2, 1 .. cubic yard. How much do you need?

I use sandy loam for my lawn. I’m not sure if it’s available in Br.
It’s not from box stores. You’ll need to buy it in bulk

I’d probably get 5 or 6 years total mixed just to make sure I had enough. I have figured out over the years there is no such thing as too much.

This is true.
I need to get a load myself. As I recall 1 cubic yard was about $40 at Cleggs on Siegen. Might be able to get it cheaper elsewhere if buying 6 yards. + delivery fee.
