All fine to leave out above 40 unless they are fruiting. If they are small and in pots they are more susceptible and it never hurts to put them up. 40F is my warning indicator.

I have a lot of plants in my yard and in pots that I want to occasionally use Foliage Pro on. Is there some kind of garden hose sprayer that I can use to do that? IS there one that will go down to that low of a mixture. The bottle says 1/100 for using a sprayer?

Any recommendations? Mixing 5 gallons at a time is a lot of work.

I know they make them but I've never used one. In fact, the bigger my collection gets (both in ground and in pots), the more I appreciate granular time release fertilizer. Just drop it on the ground in spring and mid summer and be done with it.

Foliage pro is a fantastic fertilizer though. I use it on the things that need babying or that I really want to push.

Set my greenhouse up today and will install the heater/thermostat tomorrow. I was reluctant to buy more plants this spring because I was afraid I wouldn’t have room and now I wish I had purchased a few more. What do you leave your thermostat set to?

Yeah I'm getting close to setting up. My projected low over the next week is upper 40s for only one night so I'm letting it ride for now. Last year I set up on 12/1.

I keep my thermostat set at 50F most of the time. The grow lights add a lot of heat for about half the night so the heater actually doesn't run constantly. You can go much lower, I just like to be as cautious as possible.

Make sure you have some way to be alerted if the heater dies. I have YoLink outdoor sensors that I hang in the greenhouses and they send me a text notification and noise alert if temps fall below 40F. I have 2 backup propane heaters for that scenario.

Yea, it seem to make a difference in my hibiscus plants. Im not sure why but I really have to baby them. Bugs, fungus, not enough food, etc. We love them but they are not easy to keep looking good here

I am going to try and buy a sprayer, I will let you know how it goes. With Foliage pro being such a diluted mixture, I am worried I will be using too much

I have a GoVee that gives me temp and humidity. I have never messed with the notification settings, but I’m pretty sure it’s capable. Do you have an alert set for your max temp too?

I do. I get alerts at 40F and 90F. It's amazing how fast these things can heat up in the sun on a day that is anything but outright cold. If it's 60F outside and sunny, that greenhouse can hit 100F if not vented. This is why I don't deploy the greenhouse until temps are dipping below 40F, usually in December. Too many warm days left to worry about cooking everything.

loquats
these are one year old, growing in my proprietary blend of shredded bark and rotten leaves

i pulled and potted ten more yesterday, i think thats the last of them. this winter if i can muster the effort im going to plant them in the field in the front of my property and see what happens. in the meantime if anyone wants one let me know. these are seedlings they will fruit in 2-3 years if in full sun and fertile soil

My man with this many seedlings it's time to make a spreadsheet and chart them for the best variety. You might discover a gem and be able to name it.

My best tasting so far is Oliver. Not as vigorous as gold nugget but a better flavor. My other variety, Lara honeyquat, is by far the most attractive with foliage but I haven't tasted the fruit yet.

Mango update. 3.5 months in the ground. So far so good. Had a low of 43F the last 2 nights. Won't be long before frost protection has to start.

My Ceci has been in the ground nearly two years in sunny Central Florida and yours is already larger. LOL

Planted it on a 10 inch high mound of half sand half bagged topsoil. Topped with osmocote and mulch. Underneath the mound is a sandy clay loam. It seems mangos would like to grow in straight pure sand like a coconut. The more sand the better.

I usually put it up and leave the windows open. Tonight is the first night I’ve closed. The windows and plugged in the thermostat and heater. I’m going to swap out my Govee with something else (probably go with your recommendation) on a WiFi controlled thermometer with an alert system.
