Anyone else dealing with an inordinate amount of wasps this year? From the warmer winter maybe?

Since March I must have killed over 90 around the house using a small pump sprayer with a dawn mix. They are mostly standard red/black with the occasional small yellow/black striped paper wasps. Some are making nests right next to where I had previously killed a nest within a few days. Should I spray the old sites with something else?

Yesterday I’m sitting out back ... I feel something in my hair (which is abnormally long since last haircut was back in January) . Wind is blowing and I don’t really think anything of it and just run my hand through it. Couple minutes later I feel it again but it’s noticeably stronger than before. I run my hand through and sorta squeeze my hair. I then bring my hand back down in front of me to my phone screen and open up my hand and there’s a live wasp in it. I did an instinctive quick hard squeeze (in 0.1 seconds) and threw the bastard onto the adjacent chair. He was dazed but alive. It was at this point that I officially ended his time here on earth.

TLDR: frick wasps

I have one of those. Useless against anything larger than a house fly. I was hoping it would take out a horse fly at least since those are way more annoying.

Got stung right in the knuckle by one on Sunday pulling weeds around my pepper plants. Brought me back to my childhood days. Forgot how much I hated them.

Ive just been dowsing the hell out of them with the cans of Raid that shoot about 25ft. Im highly allergic to them so the kids have been well trained to let me know when they see wasps. They get a kick out of just how much I hate those @$$holes.

Nobody here ever believes me but this stuff works like a charm. It doesn't have knockdown power but it will prevent nests from being built anywhere it's been sprayed. I've been spraying down the outside of my home, shed, and other outdoor surfaces for three years now and the number of wasp nests has dramatically decreased. The residual also kills roaches, spiders, horseflies, and just about anything else that flies or crawls into your home.

I sprayed some a month and a half ago and I am still waking up to 3-4 new dead roaches on the concrete outside. Sweep them away then the next morning I find more. This stuff goes nuclear on insects.

Have you tried with kosher salt? Might get more penetration.
