Looking for recommendations on a new power tool set

Ive had a great Dewalt hard case 18 volt drill, reciprocating saw, light, and circular saw combo set that I've had for probably 15-20 years and its served me admirably, but I get tired of buying batteries every year-year and a half and they are getting harder to find.
I am looking at perhaps another combo set in Dewalt (I know at one point, the lithium batteries had some duds) or maybe a Milwaukee set. I want something that will last another 20 years with maybe better battery storage.
Any recs?

I got gifted a set of the Hart tools from Wal-Mart, and they are absolutely great. For around the house, non professional jobs they are perfect. I use them quite a bit, and have not found a job I couldnt do.
I don't know how long they will last, but they are well worth the cost.

Don't know if they will last 20 years or not, but Ridgid has a lifetime warranty on their tools and BATTERIES! The batteries have a lifetime warranty when bought as part of a set - when bought alone, the warranty is only three years. You do have to register everything to get the lifetime warranty, however.

You can't go wrong with another Dewalt set. Will last as long as any save maybe Makita ($$$). I have a porter cable set. Picked up the saw, multi tool and sander for $60 total at lowes' recently on clearance. Pleased with the ones I have used so far. 20V is night and day better than 18v

how so? better battery life? thats really what i am looking for.

Love my dewalt 20v max tools. Never had an issue with battery life. Pick some up on black friday

DeWalt 20v Max are great tools. They also make an adapter that allows you to use the new 20V Li batteries with older 18V tools. I had a couple tools I don’t use often that I didn’t want to purchase new, but wanted to use one set of batteries for.

I've had my ridgid tools for 10 years and sent my batteries in once for replacement and and getting close to a second replacement. I have no issues with actual tools. The lifetime warranty is worth it in my opinion.

Dewalt makes an adapter to use the 20v batteries on the 18v tools. The 20v batteries seem to last a lot longer than the 18v did.

I pretty much have all Dewalt cordless power tools. 12V, 20V, and getting into the 60V stuff now. I'd take a hard look at the new Flexvolt Advantage line, 20V tools that can take advantage of the 60V and 6AH+ 20V batteries for more power. I'd build a baseline of those tool kits first then add in other 20V tools as needed. I just picked up the DCD999 drill jut after my existing 20V drill finally started having issues after about 8 years of use.
