Bought a Cub Cadet ZT2 50 a couple months ago. Has welded deck and 2800 series hydro transmissions. Have used it 6 times so far on an acre lot. No complaints. Cuts well and is a pretty comfortable ride. If you go cub cadet, I think its worth the extra money for the ZT2 over the ZT1 series.

I have ran my Hustler Fasttrak 20hp 52” cut for 15years now. Amazing machine. I agree but from a dealer. Big Box are pretty much the same.

Found a place in Slidell that’s an authorized Gravely dealer and they have a residential ZT X 22hp 42 in cut for a liitle over 3k. I think that’s the one I’m going with.

Nothing wrong with Gravely. Know quite a few friends that cut professionally with them. Good luck

Big Box ZTR JD owner here. For 2 acres, you don't need anything fancy. The one i use is my inlaws and it works like a champ. Other than belts and filters, the only thing every changed in it in 10 years was a $20 fuel pump.
I would highly recommend.
Also for your leaf issues, i bought one of those two behind sweepers for grass and leaves under my oaks and it works like a CHAMP! Turnes a 2-3 hour rake and trash can job into a 30 min blower and tow behind job.

it dont have to be this exact brand/model but the price of a zt with these specs will be very close regardless of brand. These are not cheap but if you take care of it properly, no reason you wont get 20 years out of it, and this would be about perfect for what you need

I have been gifted and old snapper that is fine for my small yard. The other I use is at my sisters for a little over an acre and is a Dixie. It is a bad arse mower and fast.

Take a look at the Hustler’s.

Can’t go wrong with Gravely either. Solid choice.

I have a Kubota commercial, neighbors have xmark, gravely and bad boy all zero turn and everyone loves their mower. What I have that they don't is a mulching blade.
I have 1.5 acres with huge oak trees and like you plenty of leaves. With the mulching blade I can make a pass with my mower and it looks like I vacuumed my lawn.

see what drive transmission the mower has
if it has an EZT, avoid it
if it has a ZT-2800, ZT-3300, etc.....those are serviceable and don't automatically have to be replaced when something goes wrong like the EZT does

Check out Bad Boy, great mowers and reasonably priced
I believe these are built in Arkansas.

Im a fan of Husqvarna and they do package deals throughout the year.
Check out port Vincent farm supply for some good deals.
I bought this mower as part of a package from this same site as I found a better deal and no tax. Mine was from a couple years ago so it had a Kawasaki engine instead.

I will throw Kubota in the mix. bought a Commander (residential model) with a Kawasaki motor back in 2013. Welded deck, seat upgrade which is awesome. It went under almost 4 feet of water in 2016, and after some flushing and filter changes, was as good as new. Still cranks, and cuts like it should. got it in the mid $4K range brand new. I also cut nearly 2 acres regularly.
