Kubota or ExMark for Zero Turn Mowers?

I’ve got some property I’m about to be mowing regularly. Roughly two acres. Probably will buy a couple more acres in the next couple years for property we plan to build on.
I’ve pretty much narrowed down my choices to ExMark and Kubota. They both seem to have Kawasaki motors in them. Anybody have experience going one over the other?
I’m leaning toward the Kubota Z400. We use Kubota at the plant and they last forever on the commercial side. They’re expensive but last. Is this probably overboard? Likely but just looking for feedback.
New to the mower world but learning this is mostly about personal preference it seems.

Why’d you narrow it down to those two?
I don’t have anything negative about them, but they are rarely mentioned in the ZT discussions. I’ve only seen Kubota mentioned if someone wants a diesel.

What I have heard word of mouth from people I know. The warranty, Kawasaki engines and durability. They’re more on the higher end it seems. What have you seen discussed?

Again, nothing against those two. Was just curious how you arrived at them.
Typical mentions are Scag, Hustler, Deere, Gravely, Bad Boy, etc. I agree that Kawasaki is almost universally recommended for the motors.
Kubota is also universally recommended here for tractors. I don’t think it’s a bad choice for ZT (without knowing all the specs), just not common.
Individual model and components are more important that overall name brand. If debating between a higher end Gravely/Hustler vs a lower spec’d Kubota due to price range, the better components may be the best option.

Can't go wrong with either. Scag is one of the best as well.

Out of those 2, Kubota all day

We have a Kubota 60" and have no issues with it. Its a gas model not a commercial diesel.
Had it for 2 years so far and not a single issue and cut great

I had an Exmark with the Kawasaki engine for 12 years no issues. Five years ago I decided I wanted a larger cutting deck and bought a Kubota with a Kawasaki engine because the local Exmark dealer went out of business. Its been a beast with no issues. Both mowers are the high end commercial grade mower.
One thing to keep in mind are the many models of each mower. You begin at the residential end and go up the ladder to the high end commercial side. Each jump in model and price usually means an upgrade somewhere on the mower beginning with the better hydraulic pumps.
Another consideration between these two are the reputation and proximity of the dealer to me.

I looked at every model that was available last year, and went with a Kubota z421. I had dealer put the full suspension seat from the 700 series on it which was only a couple hundred vs 2-3k for the step
Up to 7 series that had more features that I didn’t need. Main reasons went with kubota was Rides like a dream, runs wider tires so doesn’t get stuck as easy, Smoother controls and 0% financing. Not to mention has great warranty.
Kubota Was originally not on my radar as didn’t realize they’ve made new models for residential/commercial as always knew they made the big industrial diesels. Stumbled by chance going to buy oil filter for my Kubota tractor and glad I did. Got my shop full of orange now!

Thank you. This confirmed my decision and the model I was looking at. I appreciate your feedback.
