For a fall application? I’m sure it’s better than nothing but that’s the only thing they sell at HD or Lowe’s here. Or should I buy something better online?

Look at the Active Ingredient.
Read about the AI.
It’s probably similar to most others.
Scott's is just unnecessarily expensive.

You should be able to buy granular Prodiamine (Barricade) or Dimension (Fertilome product) at a larger retail garden center or a hardware store with a decent garden supply section, I’ve seen Dimension at just about all Ace hardware stores. The active ingredient in the Scott’s Halt product is not as widely touted as Prodiamine or Dimension but as stated absolutely better than no pre-emergent at all.

This fall I'm going to try
Bioadvanced weed killer and preventer

Has Indaziflam the same active ingredient as specticle flo.
I usually use Prodiamine .

didn't know this product existed. Label looks good, will give this a try for my fall pre-emergent (I also usually use prodiamine). Thanks for sharing

No worries
For me that one pack will do my whole lawn.
I definitely wouldn't get through specticle flo before it expired .
Specticle g I was thinking about, but I keep running out if room to store everything.
