If anyone here needs assistance in what to do, how to do it, or help with reviewing bids, I'm glad to help.

I have some hairline cracks in my driveway (exposed aggregate finish). What can i seal the cracks with that won't standout like a sore thumb? Is there clear sealant for this type situation?

Do you know anybody who can pitch, catch, or play shortstop?

I would need to see pictures of your cracks. In our situation we usually recommend a poly foam injection to fill the void, compact the soil below, and raise any drop in the slab. If any mitigating factors like water intrusion under the slab is occuring, divert that water away.

Think of it like a differential settling house. You can fix cracks, but if you don't get to the root cause, it's just temporary.

Point being, don't concern yourself with the cosmetic fix until the root cause is alleviated.

There are two types of concrete. Concrete that's cracked. And concrete that's going to crack. That foam stuff has great potential. I wouldn't put it in my house though.

What's your opinion on helical piers?

Long term fix? Or temporary solution?

Part of my driveway is washing out due to runoff from the house. What can I do to fill this gap? New concrete, dirt or is there a pray foam I can use?

Did you fix your runoff issue? I wouldn’t do anything until you do that

hairline cracks, no drop at all. Just want to keep the water out, so no drops develop over the years.

At least as long as timber. We used them at the LSU engineering building where we were adding weight to the existing structure. We mostly use them when layout/installation area is limited or at existing structures.

We have a good relationship with a fabricator/installer and we recently got into to designing them so we do work for each other.

Some masonry supply houses sell driveway crack caulking that’s self leveling. Just clean the area real well before you do that fyi

You can most definitely do a poly foam application. It will compact the soil, fill the void, and lift if needed.

Do you have gutters?

If done correctly, permanent at that location. As with anything, it's only as good as the install. If they hit load bearing strata and properly cut/bracket the footing, it's gold.

If I were building a house, I would do helicals prior to the footing being poured. Pre construction piers are worth every penny.
