Yard flooded today…

Do I reapply later this week or stick to normal schedule and apply again in a few months?

I think the consensus on this board is the "flooded yard" is not ideal, but not as bad as it seems. I mean, its not like the fertilizer pellets all float off ? and theres not a raging current to wash it all down the road. I think the rain helps beat it down into the soil?

what say the board?

Reapply for school bc you’re not too smart baw, they have been predicting this flood for over a week.

All kidding aside, stick to your normal schedule. Probably didn’t lose as much as you think and you don’t want to risk over applying.

I decided to apply because the last few times they said we would get flooding it didn’t happen. They got me this time.

Put some granular fert at soil level in your lawn. Say 3 feet from the curb. Turn your water house on jet. How long did it take spray it off

I’m curious how my fert did. I failed to check the forecast before I put down Milo Saturday evening. I think it was less than an inch of rain we got Monday, then the storms this morning. Luckily I’ve got St. Aug and there are no points in my yard that puddle up, although there is a ditch in my front yard. Hope the granules hung on there, it’s somewhat steep on the edge of the ditch.

I’d guess most of it would stay put. Though my front yard has basically been a lake since lunch. In theory, wouldn’t the granular fert dissolve and then get washed out with the receding water?

I applied yesterday thinking the same thing. I think we will be ok.

That’s funny. I’d think you’d be safe to re-fert Milo at half the rate after your next mow if you’re afraid it washed off or is being stolen by fire ants
