Honda HRX vs HRN mower

Think I'm going to buy one before they go away. Other than the bigger engine the only difference I see is the Deck. The HRX has a Nexite Deck and the HRN has steel. Looking for reviews and opinions.
Thx

Deck, engine, self-propel system, blades, 4-n-1 clipping option vs 3-n-1.

What's different about the Self Propelled and the blades? They both have twin blades. Ok, I do see the difference in the mulch/bag.

Blades are a slightly different design, the HRX self-propel is a hydrostatic setup that uses internal valving for speed control vs a belt/clutch arrangement.

They are different classes of mowers.
Both are solid though, but the HRX is clearly better.

Been having an HRX for the last 5 years. Absolute beast of a push mower

Is Blade Stop worth the extra $100?

In my opinion yes, as I hate with a passion having to restart a mower very time you need to stop a mower and release the blade engage lever (whatever it is called) for whatever reason - I know there ways to get a around that - but I didn’t give it a second’s thought to paying the extra $100 for that feature when I bought my Honda HRX.

I've had the HRN for a year and I'm happy with it. I clean the deck after each use. Still looks and acts brand new. Plenty of power for my st aug. The self propel can go faster than I care to walk.

How durable is the Nexite Deck?

The deck is fantastic. Get the HRX. It's a beast.

@LSUlefty
My HRX is almost ten years old. I abuse the thing and the deck looks like it did the day I bought it. I, too, was skeptical about the deck's durability when I bought it but that deck is bullet proof...and it won't rust.

+1 for the HRX. About 10 years old, never changed oil, plugs, or filters and still starts on first pull. Sharpen blades once a year and good to go.
ETA: hydrostatic transmission and blade stop are awesome also

Y'all have convinced me to get the HRX. Just have to decide on the Blade Stop.

I don't have the blade stop on mine. Once I start there is no stopping unless I run outta gas or the job is complete!
