Mowed for the 1st time this year earlier this week. Was cleaning up in the garage y-day and noticed gas on the deck. It was dripping from the air filter.

Turned the supply line off.

Anyone experienced this? I know it's something with the carburetor but haven't opened it up to look yet.

Thanks.

Stuck float in the carb bowl. Did you not drain it out completely before seasonal storage? Pull the bowl, see if there is any serious corrosion. If not, spray it with WD40, work the float a few times, then try again. I have a HRN216 going on its 8th season now, these are solid motors but they do not tolerate bad fuel, I drain the fuel out of mine completely at the end of every seaon, then spray the bowl and carb with WD40 or LMT.

I hate to admit that I didn't.

Will do. I thought it might be the float but rather ignorant when it comes to carburetors.

Thank you sir.

ETA: I think this is my 3rd season with it. Might be 4th

This.
Sometimes even tapping on the bowl will unstick the float. But being you left fuel in it all year its probably best to do what Clames said and go ahead and pull the bowl off, clean it, and work the float.

Stuck float. Also, smell your oil and make sure no gas made its way into the case. If it did, you’ll need to change the oil.
