Dropped my electric bill by $40/mo.
Front of house getting sun all morning through large windows same for back of the house in later afternoon.
Massive difference in the comfort level. They have different films. I went with their top of the line. Did it in my previous place as well with similar results.
Doesn't make the windows look like mirrors from outside. Not the film I got anyway. Most people have no idea the windows are tinted unless I mention it.
Used Custom Accents in Baton Rouge

Get some Reynolds wrap. Don't buy that generic stuff. It crackles. Make sure your trailer park doesn't have any rules against either.

DIY for sure. buy it in bulk from Amazon, I did my whole house (29 windows) over two weekends for right around $200.

I did it about 10 years ago on some custom wood windows on the west side of the house. DIY and ordered good quality tint off internet and still looks good. After doing it for an hour it becomes real easy to do. Made all the difference in the world for heat transmission.

I lived in PHX for 5 years. We had screens that block out the sun really well and blackout curtains on the inside. I wouldn't do anything as permanent as tinting the window glass.
