The one bait that you use daily for Reds, Trout, Snook, Jacks, etc is a swimbait. Saltwater people call them paddle tails. Same thing. Basically a lead head with a 3" swimbait body on the back of it.

I use this bait and in this color about 90% of the time on my trips and personal fishing in the bay here. It just works. It is also one of the best freshwater things you can throw in most ponds and lakes. Tie this thing on and just cast and slowly reel. Pretty much will catch everything in the Ocean.

My swimbait head comes in 1/8oz, 1/4oz and 3/8oz. I think the 3/8 head will be the most used for most and the 1/4oz when the water is very shallow. It has a 4/0 Gami hook which is perfect for small to medium fish. If yoiu start catching 30 pound Grouper or Reds on it, you may need to step up to a bigger hook.

I have some bulk swimbaits still left that I am going through and its a fantastic deal. You will go through a lot of swimbait bodies in salt water as everything has teeth and love to bite the tails off

Awesome! I will order tomorrow. What's the best head weight for strong currents? The 3/8?

Yea, from what I have. My heads were originally designed for freshwater but work great in Salt. I may eventually do a few heavier ones. Most of the time, yoi want to keep that thing up on top of the grass inshore so 3/8 works great and casts well.

Hell, yeah! Just placed an order. I just cast and slowly reel in? I've always fished with live bait

Watch out for those off brand LED’s. 1 out of ten will crap out before you know it. Been there a few times, learned my lesson the hard way. Fool me twice…

I thought about that when I bought my kit. I was nervous a little. I have 5 extra lights right now for replacements. Plus a few of the connectors.

I just use those giant 50w “corn light” replacements for the old commercial HIDs. 500-600w equivalents. They’re not pretty and they defiantly make lots of shadows but they are damn bright and that helps a lot when I’m welding or soldering.

I use one in my attic too because there is only one light socket in the whole attic.

I get 3-5 years out of the cheap $15-20 ones.
