16x24 heated and cooled and 16x24 covered outdoor area. I have an extra 4ft concrete apron around the sides and on the back side. Once the exterior is completed, the pool plumbing will be cut and the equipment will be placed on the concrete apron on one side then hooked back up. I'll have a lean-to roof covering the equipment on the side that won't be seen unless you're on that side.

Shingles went on today. Next is spray foam interior and hardie on the exterior. Once the sheetrock goes it, then we'll start on the exterior cooking area.

We built the pool last yr and started on the pool house in Nov. Slow and steady with a small time builder who specializes in these outdoor pavilion type builds. Probably not the most sound financial decision we've made but this is an investment in our family as we have 2 tweens who have plenty of time to enjoy it with their friends. The wife and I are looking forward to hosting family and friends as well. We are probably 10yrs or less from retiring. This house is where we'll retire so we couldn't care less about resale value.

Appreciate the feed back my man I was curious what kind of finishes you were going with inside and stuff with that price tag. We are almost done with our drawings with how we want it. Then we going to get some bids but seeing that price tag has me a little nervous ha. But if we don’t do it now we will never do it prolly and just keep putting it off. I think it will be worth the investment in the long run.

Measured mine today. It’s 30 1/2 inches. Bricklayer said that’s the standard size what he does for outdoor kitchens.

Great looking outdoor kitchen. Are the posts and ceiling cypress? Cedar? Pine?
Do you remember what color TWP you used?

Looks great and when you think about what you paid, the value is incredible. Well done!

My only suggestion from here would be to invest in a couple of fans to push/pull the smoke out from under there. Looks like you have one in the corner to push, but you might add a second between the grill and the outside to pull some of the smoke out. It could get pretty smoky under there when grilling something with a lot of fat on it.

Looks great though.

I was also wondering what he had planned for the smoke. My outside area is open on 2 sides and even with fans can get smoked out depending on wind direction.

You've add nice value to your home while only spending 8,500. Nice job.

You're a helluva shopper. I counted 6 doors/drawer units, sink, and facet. I couldn't find matching doors/drawer units for less than 300-400 apiece when I did mine.

Enjoy

Thanks. Ended up deciding to do the plumbing properly instead of rigging an exposed pipe dumping around the corner. Glad I did.
As for the smoke.
I’m curious to see how that works out as well. I’ve always cooked with my stand alone on wheels natural gas grill parked there since 2015 and never had that many smoke issues. However I usually just sear on the nat gas grill.
I use a charcoal or pellet grill for most of my grilling. Both of those are under another awning behind the house.

Mophorn on amazon.

A lot of them I did “used like new” and they came in open box in immaculate shape for like 60$ a cabinet

Late to this party but OP was that space originally an open areas on the back side of your house or was it already a slab, and you had a roof added?

Here’s where we are on mine. Fiasco with windows slowed us down tremendously and one transom window in the shower still isn’t right. Sheetrock is done so they will start on the tile inside this week. They are repositioning the pool equipment and temporary power this week to the side of the pool house on the concrete apron. My builder will eventually put a small lean-to over that equipment/mini split and plumbing to protect it a little more. Interior cabinets need to be installed as well as the granite. The stone needs to be grouted and sealed. Starting to see the light at the end of this year and a half long tunnel. We started on the pool in Nov ‘21.
