Garage door

I have 2-8’x9’ single garage doors in an old barn that need replacing.
Rails are good but door itself is rotted.
What’s the cheapest solution?
Does anybody still make the old one piece metal doors that grandma had?
Open for ideas….
Northshore area.

I think the cheapest solution would be to just have a door guy come put some residential metal garage doors. The whole shooting match, rails springs, everything so it's matched, I guess about $1500 each? Been a while since I bought a door like that.

The rails and all seem fine. It’s just the door panels rotted out.
The folks I talked to only want to put new everything…
Can the rails not be reused?
Seems like a waste.

You can make them out of pressure treated wood if you’re handy.

Check out a Wayne Dalton door. We have them on our garage. We went with the insulated doors to prevent heat as the doors face West. They make regular non-insulated doors but great quality.

Doubt any company will want to Gerry Rig their product into your 50 yr old rails. Would void any product warranty so there’s zero upside for installer.
I have been amazed at how cheap these door companies work per hour here in SW La.
