Low country in South Carolina is polluted with acorns this year. Bumper crop.

quote:You ain't lyin! This is my first fall/winter with a live oak. I'm sick of this shite! Seeding the rye would have been a lot easier without 2 million acorns covering the dirt.
Last year I don't think I had 20 acorns drop all year. This year there's at least 400,000 and growing.

Last year I had an unbelievable amount of acorns in my yard. They covered the entire front yard. This year not one single acorn.
This was us too. Eventually the squirrels cleaned up for us, I didn't put any effort into it.

Most acorns by far in the 15 years I've lived in this house. At least 3 times more than last year. The winds over the last few days had them firing at us like bullets. We had to run to the car.

beautiful tree, fast growing with huge green leaves. Make sure it has plenty of room. I planted eight of them from saplings and they are gorgeous. They haven’t made acorns yet though (been about 10 years)
