I would have it pumped once a year regardless, no on the wipes and I would limit garbage disposal use if you have that too.

Nooooi. My parents had it roto roistered and pumped later for a 2nd time after water backing up in house. Not fun to get call at 10:30 pm to go vacuum water in bathroom n hallway n bedroom. My neighbor had to get video camera to check her sewer lines and finally found culprit: cap from a
Shampoo bottle.

Septic tank pump guy came to my house told me if he comes across a septic tank full of wipes he won’t pump it.

Why wouldn't he? Just frick that homeowner? Weird.

Or am I missing something that can go wrong if the company does it?

I handled an insurance claim once where the toilets kept backing up because the tenants were flushing disposable diapers into the septic tank. Had another one where the public adjuster claimed the pipe was broken beneath the slab. We ran a camera and found hypodermic needles lodged in the lines.

I did a test with one in a glass of water test and let one sheet set for 24 hours. No change to the wipe at all.

Also my rental landlord sent out mail saying if you do this you will be charges for any damages from a clog.

So I would not do advise it.

Depends where I'm flushing. Home, NO. Anywhere else, yes.

No. YMMV for 15 years or so.
