I am having a tough time at my camp in Mississippi with flies.
They are by the thousands, does not seem to matter the time of the day.
I ordered some traps online should be here this week and will try that.

Anyone else has tried something that worked?

Rescue Fly Trap

These work great. Available at Home Depot for about $5. Easy to use and to dispose of.

Alpine PT fly bait. Picture is of some trash bags with corn husks in them the day after I saved up 4 sacks of sweet corn. Sprayed the bags lightly by where they were tied up. Pic kind of speaks for itself. They were horrible this year.

I put the stink traps out and have killed 10s of thousands of flies. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I have given up.

For several years I'd go to a motorcycle rally in Eureka Springs, AR in early September and the amount of flies in that area was always maddening and one of the reasons I stopped heading up that way that time of year.

You could not get away from them if outdoors no matter what measures were taken----and the organizers tried all sorts of measures with no real success.

The venue had an outdoor seating area for eating and an outdoor bar and it was pretty much useless with the amount of flies that wanted to share your drink and meal.

Nasty damn things that will be sitting on piles of animal crap or dead animals one minute and trying to share your fries and burger the next.

Bury the bodies a little deeper next time. Problem solved!

Big arse fan is the only thing that really works when the flies are in full force.
