I've used Scotts Southern Lawn Food for the past couple years with good results, however, I believe the iron in it is causing rust stains on my sidewalks in front yard. Is there another (non iron) fertilizer you can recommend for Zoysia Palisades grass in Baton Rouge area? I'll hang up and listen.

The fertilizer you hook to your house. I guess it might just be nitrogen.

How about cleaning off the driveway when you are done.

Are you in Baton Rouge? I purchase LESCO 24-2-11 lawn fertilizer from Site One on Exchequer Drive in the Industrialplex off of Siegen. Pricing is excellent - $28 to 30 (from memory ) for a 50 lb bag. It has some iron but it doesn’t stain sidewalk or driveways - I’ve not had that issue. Hard to keep some fertilizer off side walks/driveways when using a rotary spreader (I realize one can rig up a baffle on the spreader to minimize this but I’ve not thought it’s worth the effort, at least in my case).

Ok thanks! Stains are not from granules that were left on cement / the water from rains and sprinklers is carrying the iron Particles thru yard to sidewalk and it’s staining there

Are you sure it's from the fertilizer? In the Florida panhandle where I am at irrigation often leaves red stains when people have irrigation wells. It's a very common issue here.

Yeah I doubt its your fertilizer OP, its more likely iron in your ground water through your sprinkler system. You likely have it in spots on your house or fence or wherever that your sprinkler hits also.
