Looking for recs on a granule spreader. I've got about 2.5 acres of grass. Don't mind a push spreader since its only a couple times a year.

Last year I bought a 80lb Chapin model. HATED it.

What are yall using for your big yards?

I don’t know what you want to spend, but one that hooks on a three point hitch of a tractor. Then your finished.

I use an Agrifab pull behind spreader. I think it holds 120 lbs. I have 4 acres so have to refill it a couple times to cover everything (not ferting all 4 yet). I added a linear actuator on a switch to control the mechanism from the seat of an ATV. It connect to the same hookup that I use for the pull behind sprayer.

It works fine, but not great. Not a fan of the 3 pt hitch because then I have to drive the heavy arse tractor around on all the lawn, or do some areas with a walk-behind.

I'm on 2.5 acres and have something like this. Hook it up to the lawn mower or 4 wheeler and cruise with a beer.

If you want a push spreader get something with pneumatic wheels, not that plastic shite from scott's. I have a lesco 50lb spreader and it works fine. Plan to spend over $250 for anything decent.

You can get a Scotts and you can create that nice dark grass/light grass look all the ball parks have.

I’ve had a 50# Earthway for years. My old house was on 1/3 acre so putting out granules was not bad. But now that we have 1-1/2 acres I’ve used it only twice over the last two years at the new place. I have switched to put out liquid fertilizer in my 40 gallon sprayer is much easier.

Have an Agri-fab 85lb, push spreader and really like it. Had a Scotts before that and there's really no comparison. The Scotts was awful.

How do you figure out your mixture and spray rates?
