If you stick plumber's putty on there well enough, it'll hold cutting fluid in it (or water)

Clames is right. We installed shower enclosures and the diamond bits are the best way to go for smaller holes. Run wet and moderate speed. Clean bit out regularly to allow waste to flow out. Even at that we were doing good to get 10-15 holes from a $15 bit, but could through porcelain tile in under 5 minutes per hole.

Be sure and mask off the hole and start bit at an angle until started good to avoid slipping on the tile

Alright. After spending 3 hours doing 2.5 holes I got 3 diamond bits to finish this out. Will report back.

Holy hell. The diamond bit is a beast. That shite ate through the tile a lot quicker. Still took a good 20 minutes per hole but it cut the time down by about 40 minutes

There’s a reason they are $25-$30.
