Not sure if this is fungus or if it’s from the cooler nights and more shade. This area stays a little more damp after a rain but haven’t had much since hurricane Francine. Ordering propiconazole for preventative but not sure that this isn’t fungus that has started. It’s not in my Bermuda grass so trying to prevent it.

I have the same thing going on in mine. I put down fungicide , insect treatment and a winterizer.
It still looks the same. It’s been about a week since I put it out.
I thought it was grub worms or something.
I’m waiting on an answer with you.

That’s what mine looks like when the faster growing spots get too high and I cut off more than 1/3.

That’s what I think it could be as well. I cut it after it being to wet and cutting it later than normal. What I do notice is that it’s all around in my neighborhood, and it’s St. Augustine grass.

Could be sod webworms. That does not look typical for brown patch.

Thanks for the link. I have been spraying Talstar P on my Bermuda to kill any pests that may come in there. These areas have not been treated. Maybe this could be it but I noticed today before I left for work that I’m starting to see some green coming back through where the brown is. Not sure if it’s the warmer temps that are allowing it to grow since we had a few cooler nights that were stopping it. Not sure.

Looks like the army worms I dealt with a couple of weeks ago.

They had done a bit of damage on two consecutive nights, so I put down some soapy water to make them come out and then sprayed their arse with Talstar P. All grass has recovered since.

Yeah this is army worm time. I think it was a year or two ago that the worms swept through the entire southeast. My entire front yard is zenith zoysia. A that time I was looking at the rust fungus my grass gets. It’s like an STD for grass. Once it’s in the soil never goes away. Pisses me off every time I see it because it cost me about $3000. As I was bending down and steaming over the rust the corner of my eye saw movement. But I looked and saw a caterpillar…I thought no big deal until I saw more movement. Stepped back and refocused closer and my entire front yard was covered in these army worms. It clicked what was going on thanks to a recent email the sod company sent out. Ran to ace hardware and bought some spectracide spray for the hose and that did the trick.

It’s armyworms. Did the soap test and they popped through. Have some Talstar P coming soon and will spray early morning when it comes in and again in about 10/14 days.
