Yeah. This might also come in 2 types. It says southern lawn or something. It works really well. It's just starting to wear off from when I put down in February.

Just in the interest of playing with the overall cost of the products, I mentioned in my earlier post in this thread that a $300 18 oz bottle of Specticle Flo (Indaziflam) equates to ~ $2.50 per 1000 sq ft of treatment application at labeled rate (3 treatments per year for 4 years, 10K sq ft lawn, on one 18 oz bottle). You can run the math yourself to verify.

The cost of a $23 bag of Bayer Bioadvanced Weed Killer & Weed Preventer for southern lawns (cheapest I’m seeing on a web search) containing Indaziflam that treats 4000 sq ft equates to ~$5.75 per 1000 sq ft, per application - so more than double the cost per 1000 sq ft per application of Specticle Flo.

So if you were applying the granular Bayer product 3 times per year over several years it’s not as overall cost effective as Specticle Flo. But if you are sporadically using the product on a smaller lawn, then it very well may be the more cost effective product. It certainly does give one an alternative pre-emergent herbicide option for targeting Doveweed, plus other weeds seeds that don’t respond to the cheaper, but effective, dithopyr or Prodiamine pre-emergent herbicides. And the Bayer granular product does have some degree of post-emergent weed control as it contains Dicamba herbicide.

Just wanted to point out the Bayer granular pre-emergent herbicide containing Indaziflam is not necessarily a cheaper product (overall lowest cost) depending how you plan to use it.

I thought the celsius xtra was doing well after my first application. Most of what I sprayed dried up to nothing after 10 days. A week or two later the runners started putting out new leaves. It killed the foliage but not the roots on most of it. I recently hit it again (twice, 10 days apart) and its doing the same thing. Some patches of it got yellow in the center then came back strong. Oh well.
