Cost to install outdoor downlighting in soffits?

We have been talking about getting some quotes on having an electrician come install some LED downlights in our soffits. We haven't worked out the exact layout but does anyone have a rough estimate of how much this would cost per light?
Also any suggestions on type of or color of lights? Looking at other threads, it seems like 3000k is a popular choice.
Thanks

I’m interested as well. Our builder has a switch and breaker for them in our house already. I would only need 5 or 6.

I would assume vinyl soffits is easier to install than wood, what type of material are you working with?

That’s what I wish I had for the holidays. OP look at the Philips hue color changing retro fit lights. They have a 4 and 6”
If not go 3k

I could but I’d rather just pay some one a reasonable price to do it for me. That way I get to spend time with my kids and some small business gets some cash.

I get it BUT when you find a electrician have him her drop you some switched outlets for Christmas lights while he is there.

That’s exactly my plan

I charge $130 each. That includes the light fixture and installation.
Adding a switch is extra.
You can use that as a starting point.
