Convection/ Microwave Oven Combo

Anyone have experience with a convection/microwave oven combo? Is it worth the money?
Background: Would be for installation in kitchen island in new construction. Sounds like it might be a good option to keep from heating up the whole kitchen when doing small batches. My concern is that multipurpose appliances usually don’t do anything well.
Thanks for any info.

There was one in our house when we bought it. Nice to have the extra oven when doing family get togethers. It was old so I took it out and ordered a new one. Had it delivered Wednesday. Installed this weekend. Microwave works but there's a "communication error with the lower unit." So I have someone coming look at it Wednesday.

Installed a Panasonic version a few years ago for my parents, they love it. Can bake and airfry, they love it for reheating certain foods too.

I've had a GE Profile Advantium for 5 years. No issues. We primarily use it as a microwave but rely on a conventional oven for the bulk of our oven use while the convection part has been lightly used as backup when another oven is needed.
I love the flexibility it gives us.

Panasonic HomeChef 4-in-1 Microwave Oven

It has been great, no issues going on 10 months. Multiple features and settings.

Stupid question, does this replace the need for a toaster oven? We have a microwave and toaster oven but would love to get rid of the toaster oven sitting on the counter when we have a designated spot for microwave.

No, you could use the broil function to toast but you'll have to flip the bread.

Thanks- that’s one of the models I was looking at…How is the air fryer function on it?

We have this one. It's a great third oven. It doesn't replace the counter top ninja basket airfryer though, which I was hoping for to be able to get it off my counter.

We have a kitchenaid one with the combo. We use the convection oven every now and then, but mostly during the Thanksgiving/Christmas types of year
