I got the metabo 10" sliding battery version. I like the battery performance but there's enough flex that I have to really hit the mark and ease into the cut. That 87$ one is a steal.

Mine showed up today. I'm picking up a better blade for it tomorrow but I cut some 2x4s with it and it'll do.

I bought the dewalt sliding miter as my first.
It was a smart move as I have been able to grow into it.
With mild tuning it's capable of amazing.

A Chopmaster blade from Forrest will give the best cuts. Diwoblo blades are mediocre. Freud isn't much better than Diwoblo (same company).

Damn. I picked up a Diablo from Pat's Hardware yesterday. That's all they had. Seems like it's doing fine, though. Saw was a little off on angles but I was able to adjust it and get it right.

Forrest blades are the best. Made in America and they will repair and sharpen them. They're expensive so it's probably the best to maybe work your way up to them because you can't go back after using their blades.
