In order to minimize the chance of torpedo grass.... short of digging all of it out, what should I do?

ETA: Moving isn't an option

Spray the torpedo grass with roundup. Not sure there is much you can do ahead of time.

There's not torpedo grass (yet). They just filled it in a few days ago. I'm trying to see what can be done right now to prevent it (if it's even there)

It's right by the street. I think washing all of it out and pouring a strong chemical substance over the area is the only option.

Cut your grass and pour a bag of garden soil on top for extra protection. I don't think anything more than that is needed.

Sinkhole, right next to driveway. There's a sewer next to it.

Did they fix the problem that caused the sink hole?

Doubt it, it's probably just a bandaid.

Same thing happened 10 years ago and they had to tear up half the driveway.
