Best type of sod for low area (drainage ditch)

My backyard drains, albeit very slow.
What is the best type of sod for this area? Currently, I have centipede for my backyard, but the drainage area (I used to have a fence in front of the drainage area -- so essentially I had two backyard fences) stays fairly damp -- I had been keeping this area weedeated and sprayed with weed killer.
Since my "2nd" fence is no longer, I'd like to sod the area and cut/weedeat it like I do for the rest of my yard.

I would try to create some drainage in that low spot. Will be tough to keep grass there with water sitting on it. Maybe backfill with large aggregate gravel and put a catch basin that daylights to the fence line. Then sod over the gravel. Nice geo fabric would make it a more lasting job. But grass would eventually grow over the gravel with nothing else done with it, especially with all the sediment adding organic matter.
Switching grass types would be playing with fire. Bahia might like it, carpet definitely would. But it may take over. Adding gravel will help disperse the water so it isn’t just sitting there in a bowl.

So that area is basically a shallow ditch? Where does the water come from and where does it go?
My initial thought was to fill it in to bring your elevation higher but that wouldn’t be a good idea if another property drains through there.
As the other poster said, mixing grass types can be a pain, especially since you have centipede and are set on keeping it. Whatever you lay down there will most likely choke out the centipede and spread to the rest of the yard.
If you don’t care too much about the centipede and have a fairly shade free yard, I’d just go with Bermuda. It will spread fast and remain disease free for the most part.
I would absolutely avoid St. Aug though. You will fight disease constantly.

The gravel type with a french drain underneath.

I'd install a french drain system, build up the elevation, then put sod on top and have the water diverted to somewhere that doesn't frick your neighbors.
