Looking for a fertilizer to promote fast growth (for a live oak) and overall tree health.
I know a lot of people on the board have or have experience with Live Oaks.

I don't think live oaks have a reputation for "fast" growth. But I'd fertilize in the spring when they start blooming/have new growth. Never actually fertilized a live oak tree though. Planted them and let them do their thing.

general purpose granular fertilizer is fine. Personally I don’t bother, but I have decent dirt

Some trees you plant for your kids to enjoy.
Live oaks you plant for your grandkids haha.

My Magnolias and Cedars get this Ferti-Lome so the live oaks gets it also.

I use 2 things, 13-13-13 and Ironite for all my trees. Live Oaks love the two, it will help them to grow and look great.

Good deal I'll look into these.

Right, hence why I put (for a live oak) after it.
I don't expect fertilizer to make a live oak grow "fast", but I might as well have it growing as fast as possible and promote maximum health.

An add on to this, a friend of mine bought about an acre of property to build a new home. It had two nice size Magnolia trees on it. Both had no flowers on them. He asked if I knew of a magnolia that didn’t bloom, i hadn’t. So I went out this the 13 and Ironite, a few months later he sent me pictures of new blooms and flowers.
