how do I kill it and not the centipede?

Pretty sure you can use sethoxydim in centipede to kill Bermuda, but not in St Aug. Atrazine may also kill it, or at least injure it enough to slow it down.
I'm not the expert, so I’d wait to hear from some of the other posters that know better than I.

Sethoxydim (Fertilome Over the Top II, Vantage, High Yield Grass Killer, etc) - will cause temporary yellowing in actively growing centipede. Not to be used on St Augustine.
I guess if the centipede is truly dormant, you could use glyphosate. I personally wouldn’t take that chance this time of the year.

Are you positive it's Bermuda and not a look-alike weed?

My yard is 60/40 Bermuda to Centipede and the Bermuda is already greening up and growing.
