Any recommendations for bathroom remodel in BR? Work includes new flooring, tub tile surround, new vanity, sink, mirrors, replace light fixtures, relocate outlet. Also some walls to be moved and door installed. Are most of these remodel company’s just sub contractors? Anyone that actually uses their own workers? Thanks

Our bathroom is 130 sqft. So far we've spent a little under $30k. That is new 4x3 shower, new 4x3 window installed where no window existed, having existing tile and linoleum beneath removed, and drywall and mudding.
Still have a new linen cabinet to be built and doors for existing cabinets (~1.5k), new tile floor (<1k), and paint.
I demoed our old shower and did electrical myself.
We've piece mealed our project so we could pay as we go. We had an initial estimate from a bathroom remodeler before that was around 40k for a full remodel.

Almost $230/sq foot seems insane.

It is, especially if he did the demo.

Question for those that have remodeled.
What do you do about security? is there someone in the house at all times while the worker(s) are there? Are they walking through the house with shoes on?
