Backyard Basketball Court

Thinking about a 25x25ish bball court for the yard. Anyone with experience with the tiles like Versacourt, etc? Should I go that route or stick with just concrete? Would prefer if it looked nice and wasn’t just an ugly concrete pad.

25x25 seems mighty small.
Also, those plastic court systems don’t play the same to me as a concrete or indoor court. Feel slippery when wet, and not the same.
I’d suggest just concrete. Can always stripe it and paint it to make it look a lot nicer.

Just put a Megaslam 60 in the driveway. Solid construction. Give them a good look.

25x25 is way too small for a half court.
needs to be 40-50' wide if you want to be able to shoot any 3's other than top of the key 3 threes.
40x30 would be ideal

I would add a 4% decline so the water can drain when it rains.

4%? That's really steep. On a 25' wide pad, it would be a full 1 foot drop from one end to the other.

Diy. Two man auger rental. I patched in some grassy area in my driveas well to get some additional court space.
With the anchor hole and new concrete areas I did a concrete by the yard delivery so I wouldn't have to make a couple of quickcrete trips at HD and rent a mixer.
If you are doing a concrete court I'd just have them put the anchor concrete in at the same time and see if when they are doing site prep they dig your anchor hole. 20" x 20" x 48" is no joke.

Not much of a DIYer. Don’t mind dropping $10k or so for a nice setup. That Megaslam 60 sho looks nice. Any other suggestions for a contractor who can handle it all(concrete, painting court, installing goal)on the Northshore? TIA

With the difference of a goal $900/1000 option vs $16/1700 I spent a little more knowing its the only goal I'll ever buy.
I also have limited space where the "court" is a combo of my drive and neighbors drive and needed to fill small grass area. It's enough for a 3pt arc, no scoreboard incoming.
Also, the mega slam I chose lowers to 5.5'. so my kiddo can slam now vs waiting years. Most of these in ground systems only drop to 7.5'
Some don't come with pole, gusset or backboard pad, so that adds $300+

go with 26x50 so you can play pickleball too! and you can have full 3-point arc.
I have a buddy with the plastic tiles and one with the painted concrete slab...painted concrete slab is better in my opinion. but make sure you get someone to paint it right...my buddy with painted court is having some paint flaking issues.
