Anyone know where I can drop off a dryer? I know Lowe's can haul off for you with the purchase of a new one, but I don't want to wait a week for delivery. I'd prefer to pick it up myself.

Let me understand....

You want to pickup a dryer from Lowes and install yourself.
Then you want to get rid of the old dryer, correct?

Put it by the street. I promise it will be gone in a day or so.

The city will pick it up, but you need to call them. Republic Services to schedule.

Or advertise on Craigslist under free.

There is an old appliance drop-off place in Scott, right on the main drag, can't recall the name.

This is what I do in N.O.

Put any appliance on the street and usually within a couple hours it's gone. There's a guy who I see cruising the area with a pick-up and an open trailer that I see hauling every appliance known to man.

There are people on facebook that will come get it for free. Check the market place.

Ended up going to Stine and they can deliver and haul away on Tuesday. I can live with that.
