Right, exactly because it’s a driveway.
You should leave your car in the parkway, much less tacky

Having a window unit is going to make the outside of your house look trashy. Just tell them open the garage door and put a portable fan in there for when its hot. Thats what everybody I know who has weight lifting stuff in their garage does

Yeah just use one of these instead of a window unit.

My dad has one in his two car garage in Thibodaux. Works perfectly fine.

Doable but rig it where the condensate from said windowshaker drips in your front flower bed.

I have a 24X24 insulated garage, but the doors are not insulated. My 15,000 btu window unit cools it down to the low 70's on the hottest days. I turn it on the night before I need it cooled.

Why wouldn't it work? The whole point of a window unit is to cool shite down.

I got a construction blower fan off amazon for about 50 bucks for my garage during quarantine. With the door shut it would keep the room tolerably cool

In fact, at an old job we had a tool shed/work shop that was at least 15x20 with a single window unit. No insulation, standard metal building. And it was an icebox with the unt running.
ETA: Just measured on google maps, and it was 34x15
If in louisiana...no chance in hell.
An 18k window unit in an insulated 32x16 metal shop would not hold more than 15 below ambient. Been there. Done that.rule of thumb for lightly insulaged metal building is to double the specced required btu

I would try it for my kids.
What could it hurt?
