Reading people casually endorsing drugs is not funny. That's from the heart, having watched more than a few lives ruined by drugs that some people here think are a laughing matter, harmless, and even, strangely enough, a mark of maturity or growing up.
My "spiel," BTW, was grounded in the belief that drug use is a sign of cowardice and weakness. It is far more a Kantian argument than a biblical one. My second paragraph on mercy and loving the coward and the weak, however, comes from the biblical mandate.

I have always struggled with the movement of love. Should it originate with the particular and move to the general or vice versa? In my own time, I have found it the case that my love for particulars has introduced me to a general, broader love. As such, I think it is the individual, people such as you and Leauxgan, who are at least partly responsible for planting the seed of a greater and purer love. For that I am grateful, my dear Rummey.
