I was late to the soccer party...didn't tune in until they were playing extra time...2 things:

1) Did I see some Brazilian bitch jump off of a stretcher and run back into the game??

2) The bleach blond American bitch is annoying but she made the big pass and hit her penalty kick, so most is forgiven (but her singing Born in the USA into the crowd mic the other day was a bit much)

Yep, and ironically she faked the injury to waste time. Then the extra time at the end of the game that was added because of that is when the tying goal was scored.

yeah and they're on usually around 2-3pm here, so many people are at work if the games are during the week

and big matches in the epl on the wekeend often start around 8-9am, and people aren't awake that early on saturdays

Yes, but that's about 2:00 our time. Most of us record them.

Fail. Any big match is on live. This isn't the 90's anymore.

Plain and simple, people hate the soccer board and soccer because America doesn't rape at it. When the US is doing well in any soccer tournament, you all jump on, learn their names, and touch yourselves. When they lose out before the championship, you go back to hating it and everyone who likes it. Then again, you also don't have the intelligence to realize that football is mostly people stopping and measuring shite and think sitting in a stand waiting for 5 hours for one buck to be shot at is exhilarating.

All in all, go suck a chode and enjoy your sport while I enjoy mine.

If you don't want to know the score, then why do you look on the board?

Same argument can be made for any big CWS game.

Um, unless you were out til 2 am the night before, most people are awake.

As for the 2-3 PM games, a lot of people follow them on ESPN.com or ESPN3.

Only to soccer fans. Again, casual fans aren't watching cause they like soccer. Theyre watching because they are supporting their countrymen...or cause Alex Morgan is hot as frick

At the risk of bringing on the wrath of the Soccer-tards, would it be so hard to just stop and start the clock during stoppages of play like they do in, say, EVERY OTHER SPORT ON THE PLANET WITH A CLOCK? That concept seems to work well in football and basketball, just to name a couple...
