Serious question: Have the admins ever considered a Religion Board?

I understand it would be incredibly polarizing and volatile, but it might also produce some incredible conversations.
I don't mean just about Christianity, but all religions. I love a mature, philosophical religious debate and I know the goal is to basically remove those from the OT.
Just curious if that has actually been considered.

It's been suggested/requested a bunch of times here, but couldn't tell you if it's ever been considered.

It would be a thunderdome of personal attacks and I just can't see it holding together to be honest. Religion is much worse than politics IMO.

The answer is yes, it was considered. The board's owners do not want to go down that road at this time. I don't see that changing in the near future.

Which sucks. And yeah, we can go elsewhere to discuss, but I wanna discuss religion with these posters.

You would never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Nothing brings out a persons inner beast like someone challenging their religion. The denizens of this board can't handle discussions about Les Miles without devolving into animals; a consolidated board with nothing but religion would turn into nothing but a hate filled cesspool that would be embarrassing to the site.
