What other sites have x embeds but don't have the same issue for you?
Hopefully a bug was introduced in andriod/chrome and will be fixed soon. I will still research, but I think this is out of our control. You can turn off the embeds on your settings page for now.

I noticed it has helped me in this site. I just scrolled past two X embeds and it didn't slow at all.

Checking again, it looks like it's starting to work. I went back to the same page that I did a screen recording for and had no freezes.

Yeah, mobile on chrome is almost unusable.

I turned off the embeds and it helps, but still lags for me every once in awhile. Could be the ad banners too.

This is what I've done as well and zero performance issues with the Samsung browser. I just don't like the interface as much as chrome. I hope this gets resolved soon. In the meantime are there any other browsers with an interface more similar to chrome?
