That's a word my circle of friends uses, roughly defined: Upon feeling like you were getting set to fumble an object (usually a pen, lighter, cigarette, etc...) - neither recognition of the impending jettison or any attempts to prevent through actual adjustment can prevent the thing from flyin'.... In the "grand mal" form, a flink is actually intensified by the precautionary measures, resulting in spiking the object off the floor (bouncing off the wall and furniture....) A "ninja flink" is when you go to use an object only to flink it, bat it back towards yourself bobble it a few times, then recover.

The key is to call out somebody's flink when flinker thinks nobody's noticed the spasm.

I'm not trying to push :flink: on anyone, I just like the similarity to :fail: - and that we've been doing it for about 11 years now.
