I last lived in BR in 1999 and even at that point, MFP had been calling Charlie Hannigriff for years. Go easy on the guy. He is mentally and physically handicapped as others have said.

Mike is a super nice guy, who loves his sports shows and lives for them. I remember him calling Brian Rushing's show, seems like he was the 1st caller every morning.
Mike is a little different, not retarded. If he were retarded he would do things like revere dead football coaches. So he's different, but it's not like he's a Bama fan.
Jimmy will be on 1300, 3-6 slot starting Monday.

Not sure what his problem is, have heard various things but I doubts mental. The dude , thou he may have some different opinions on sports topics, he is pretty sharp when it comes to sports. I'd like to meet him just to shoot the bull about the saints. I wish he did post hear it would just add more to the legend of MFP.

Well, whatever year O.J. "didn't" kill his wife and her gay friend is when I started listening to 1210. MFP was calling then. I personally can't stand listening to MFP speak, but I know he's got some "issues," so I give him a pat on the back for being a huge and somewhat knowledgable sports fan. You won't find a bigger Saints fan.

MFP is not blind! At least I dont think. I know the guy a little, he means well, but is kind of slow. He use to call Ed Buggs a lot.

Mike isn't too bad a guy. I've heard him call in to various shows for many years now. I agree. He seems a little slow, but the guy does know some stuff, and isn't an idiot. Just a little goofy sometimes.

I don't think thats the same Mike. But I know who you are talking about. I remember MFP calling into Buddy D as far back as I can remember 20 years or better.

I know him and his family because I am from plaquemine and went to school with him. He does have some handicaps but if you want to know anything about the saints,astros,lsu, etc, just ask and he will know. He finished high school and spends his days calling talk radio/tv for the last 17 years. He loves sports and by some of his calls you would never know he has the handicaps he does have. His dad was a high school coach(catholic high, st. john, plaquemine, and others) and principal all his life, so I guess that's where he gets it from. If you would really know mike, you would really appreciate every call he makes everyday!
