Look at the 1st few pages of people with the most posts. Plenty of people there as prime examples with tons of posts and longevity here.

Hugo came out of nowhere. Never heard of the dude. Then one day, about 3 months ago, can't think of any thread I've read that he's not in.

The truth is, we need these "villains" on TD. Maybe not so much on the rants or sports boards (CHICKALUNDA knows there are enough of those organically), but on the others? They add variety. They add counterpoint. They are the the ying to our morally ambiguous yang.
Without the trolls, without the alters or provocative personalities (or at least posters cast in the same mold), what would the OT be like?
