Take them as recommended. All you’d accomplish by cutting your dose short would be wasting pills and contributing to antibiotic resistance

Two on the first day is to get a bunch in your system at the start. 1/day after that is maintenance, and you don't need anything more than that. And too much can cause stomach issues and diarrhea.

No it’s a long acting antibiotic that still works for 10 days but you only have to take it for 5.... that’s the main reason it is over prescribed is because patients demand it because they’re too lazy to take medicine that they may or may not need for 10 days

Why not just take 6 the first day and get it over with?

We actually can treat strep with 500mg daily for 3 days. So your dose would be effective if it was for confirmed group A strep. Chances are, someone wrote it for "sinus infection" or bronchitis. If for "sinus infection" it won't work anyways. If for bronchitis, take as directed. It's only 5 days for heaven's sake.

How stupid. Why not just take it as directed?

Well I finished my last dose yesterday.

I am not severely congested as I was day 1. Coughing up nasty arse green shite.

Today the snot is bright yellow and thin. I have a cough here and there.

I’m thinking it’s bronchitis and going to dr tomorrow. My molars on right side hurt though like a tooth ache.

It’s been a month long of congestion. No other symptoms at all. I smoke at night when kids go to bed. I know this was a huge factor. I’m down to 4-5 cigs so I’m about to just quit all together.

For the record, I have never thought covid bc I have no other symptoms.
