Down Dog Yoga app is very beginner friendly.

Really good app. I use it when I'm traveling to do sessions in my hotel room.

Standing splits have been a game changer for me.

You are flexible AF if you can do a full standing split. It's my goal to complete in 2019, and I'm nowhere close .

I have been doing yogalates in BR for a year now. It is a great work out and they change the routine every week. It helped me a lot duck hunting, as my hips used to hurt walking in waders

I'm not in any way laughing at you or trolling, because I believe you. That being said, I'm willing to bet this phrase hasn't been said much before.

Do you use an app/vid or go to classes?

Both.

When in-town, I much prefer to go to classes. I've gotten to the point where I'm fairly good at each position, but you can't beat the subtle tweaks and adjustments a good instructor can make. Each time they make a subtle adjustment, it can completely change my understanding for what a particular pose or stretch was attempting to accomplish, and then you continue to build on each of those going forward.

I do travel alot, though, so I've gotten used to using an app. As mentioned the Down Dog app is fantastic IMO. It's got difficulty levels, time levels, and the workouts really do flow well. If you do them enough you can tell that it's a bunch of recorded clips of positions that they use some algorithm to string into a video, but they always flow well and are seamless. Highly recommend it.

I’m really glad I stumbled on this thread. My flexibility and mobility is crap, and its gotten to the point where I’m really noticing it, even when I golf. I want to start foam rolling / yoga or even both.

Anyone have a suggestion on a yoga studio in BR for a beginner? I did a quick google search and have am having trouble choosing from the 10+ by my house or work. Would prefer something in the Mid City area or off Jefferson.

TIA

Anyone got anything for shoulder mobility?

Bc mine is pretty bad, it can’t over head squat or full snatch bc it’s so hard to get the bar back
