Lady at work is struggling big time with working out and dieting. She’s doing the Keto diet and isn’t happy with her results and I told her to get off of that diet. I told her to do the 16/8 fasting but don’t know which workout routine she should be doing. Any help please

Why? If she's not losing weight she's not following the diet. Pretty simple. This sounds like a case of "oh I'm dieting so hard! (except when I'm home by myself and 'sneak' 500 calories of shite"

not going to get into diet too much but will say...the best diet is the one she can stick to. so long as she is in a deficeit It doesnt matter.

For working out....that all depends on how much she has been doing before. Generally its the same as everyone else, some form of LP. But some people just arent ready for that and need some form of physical therapy to even be able to do something like starting strength.

This is correct on dieting.

Workout wise, any good, beginner linear progression program will work. It does not sound like she is close to advanced enough to not see big gains from linear progression.

Being a 56 year old woman...neither of those things are variables that should deter her from a basic strength program. Greyskull is good. Candito linear control is my standard contribution to these threads.

Guarantee 100% she isn’t tracking her macros or if she is she’s lying when inputting what she’s actually eating.

ETA: What is she not happy with results wise? Is she actually doing Keto correctly eating <20g of net carbs a day?

I think it’s just the typical dieting discouragement in her brain. She’s not losing the weight she thinks she should be losing

Yeah in that case it’s a guarantee she’s not tracking her macros. With the Keto diet you have to try to not lose weight if you are truly doing it correctly.

Granted the whole tracking macros confuses me too. If your not 100% invested and want to learn all the stuff behind the diets it’s not going to happen

Here’s the thing. No matter what diet plan you are subscribing to you need to track your macros otherwise your results will suffer. The majority of Americans have zero idea of how many calories they are truly intaking not to mention the vast amounts of sugars, etc.

Yea I basically cut all sugars out of my life and just eat chicken and veggies and sweet potatoes. As basic as possible
