squatting arse to grass

Everyday with body weight? Or during my actual squat sessions? I typically have to use a 10lbs plate under my heels for squats. Again, because of my lack of flexibility.

Overhead Press

What an asinine article. Pressing overhead is one of the most important fundamental movements just for basic life.

Poor shoulder extension and flexibility is one of worst epidemics in mobility for most of the population.

Sure shoulders are injury prone if done incorrectly or improperly progressed, but some type of overhead press should be in every person's regiment.

It's like saying squats are useless because people are knee injury prone.

If you know your ankles lack flexibility why not stretch that area daily? Standing on plates won't help but in that moment. You can improve your flexibility with daily mobility

Ive not seen many people lack the flexibility to deadlift. It doesn't take much. More than likely you are just doing it incorrectly

Yeah, I started to stretch my ankles and it's done very well with my squats. Still gonna get some lifting shoes though.

Laziness, I guess. Don't really think about it. I've been trying to stretch my hips more often though.

Could be as easy as stretching your calves or changing the way you walk. Something like a stair stretch can help the ankle.

When you walk, concentrate on striding and following thru to where your heel ends up in the air. More than likely tight calf muscles have you predominantly using them to walk with no ankle flexion.

I'll work on that. Thanks.

Body weight to warm up, even on deadlift days. Tons of good videos out there to show you other warm ups.

Also arse to grass when your doing squats on you leg days. 10lbs plates are way to big to put under your heels. Try a 5 or 2.5. Also look into lifting shoes for squatting.

I'm going to have a hard time taking anything that Fox News has to say about fitness seriously. Anyone that says OHP is useless is either misinformed or scared.
